A series of photographs of the beaches and landmarks of the beautiful east coast of Ireland
For me it is a privilege to live near the sea. It is a calming and soothing constant and can be a wonderful antidote to the hassles and stresses of modern day life. These photographs are all inspired by the stilling effect the sea can have. Many of these are exposures of a few minutes or longer, giving an image that is a summary of time, rather than a split second. This also smooths out the movement in the clouds and the waves, echoing the calming influence of the water.
