Grangegorman Histories is offering guided walking tour of the historic site of St Brendan’s Hospital. Tour will last approximately 1 hour.
The tour will complement the session by Lianne O’Hara and Brendan Kelly in Doyle’s Corner at 5pm on the same day. Poet Lianne O’Hara will read from a series of new poems commissioned by Grangegorman Histories, exploring the lives and experiences of patients and staff at St Brendans Phsychiatric Hospital. Brendan Kelly, Professor of Psychiatry, TCD, will give a brief overview of the history of Grangegorman and read from his book Asylum: Inside Grangegorman.
Meeting at the Broadstone Luas stop at 1pm or 3pm depending on the tour you’ve booked.
The walking tour will take place throughout the TU Dublin campus and not in any building, or difficult to access places.
