Welcome to the Pitstop!
The Pitstop Crew hope to make this event hands-on, hands-dirty, and as hands-together for all you budding DIY Dragsters. The idea for this event comes from our experience of imagining and making and hope to empower you to try your hand at making your imaginings become real. The event is split into 3 parts. What do I have to do?
Each team must register at the first meeting, and consist of one adult 18+ and up to 3 others 8-14. The adult member must accompany all minors at all times. Each team must decide on a team name. Teams are required to provide all materials, tools, protective gear, etc. necessary to build their go-kart. The Pitstop Crew strongly advise the use of recycled and/or repurposed materials. Raid that shed! Competitions for Cheapest build, Best design (incl. costume), Fastest lap. Drivers are required to wear a helmet ( GAA, cycling will do) when racing, and any other racing gear they can get their hands on. |
