Prizes galore in this festival favourite! Keep an eye out for our yellow barrow selling ducks at pop-up locations in Phibsboro in the week before and on the canal during the festival. The race itself will take place east or west of the 6th lock.

Our canal-side stage will host a range of performance acts including the Walkaleles Ukulele Band – back by popular demand, the Finglas Concert Band – bringing the fun and panache of a concert band, Comhaltas Ceolteori Eireann’s Sean Tracy branch – bringing their award winning show featuring song, dance and music connected to the Royal Canal and the CSharps Babershop Group – a highly popular group that is guaranteed to get the audience going.
Keep an eye out for Magician Quentin Reynolds, a Member of the Inner Magic Circle, who’ll be roving about choosing groups of people to wow with his spellbinding show.
There’s biodiversity and canal history walks, children’s games and – it goes without saying – the must have Annual Duck Race. An afternoon not to be missed!
Meet at the Soldier Statue – (Opp Library) for registration and collection of clues. Spend an entertaining afternoon deciphering cryptic clues on this leisurely two-hour hunt through Phibsborough’s past and present. Concluding with après hunt at the Bernard Shaw for refreshments, chats and prizes. Adults and teenagers (Unsuitable for little ones).
