Clash Jam Wallop – Phizzfest Wrap Party!

Having previously played the festival a number of years ago, Phizzfest is delighted to welcome back former members of local band Clash Jam Wallop, playing, yes, you guessed it, songs from The Clash and the Jam among its punk and rock repertoire. The gig brings the festival to a high-octane close – not to be missed!

REIC (pronounced ‘wreck’) is a multilingual spoken-word event featuring poetry, rap, music, storytelling and more! REIC is a welcoming space where Gaeilge is encouraged. With readings by guest poets and open mic slots – turn up early to secure your space!

SOLD OUT! Aoife Nessa Frances & Núria Graham

Núria Graham and Aoife Nessa Frances, two accomplished songwriters and multi-instrumentalists, have long admired each other’s work. Their paths crossed at various festivals, sparking a creative kinship that has culminated in a collaborative endeavor. Hailing from diverse backgrounds, Núria, with her heritage blending her Irish and Catalan roots, was raised in Vic, Catalunya, while Aoife, a native of Dublin, now resides in West of Ireland with her own familial ties to Catalunya.

Beyond their geographical and cultural connections, Núria and Aoife share a tapestry of serendipitous occurrences, including sharing the same birthday and a harmonious resonance in their musicality and songwriting sensibilities. It’s almost as if fate itself has orchestrated their union, with Núria embodying Irish heritage and Aoife’s family extending into Catalan lineage through her sister.

United by their passion for music, the duo has embarked on an enthralling journey, intertwining their unique styles to craft captivating compositions. Collaborating on new material while seamlessly blending their individual works into performances, Núria and Aoife will perform live at Phizzfest 2024.

Canal-side Family Events

Boat trips, paddling, music and stage acts, the infamous duck race and lots of other activities!

Join us for a fun-filled afternoon of family activities including the amazing Pure Magic Watersports for demonstrations and lessons in stand-up paddleboarding.

Our canal-side stage will host a range of performance acts including the Walkaleles Ukulele Band – back by popular demand, the Finglas Concert Band – bringing the fun and panache of a concert band, Comhaltas Ceolteori Eireann’s Sean Tracy branch – bringing their award winning show featuring song, dance and music connected to the Royal Canal and the CSharps Babershop Group – a highly popular group that is guaranteed to get the audience going.

Keep an eye out for Magician Quentin Reynolds, a Member of the Inner Magic Circle, who’ll be roving about choosing groups of people to wow with his spellbinding show.

There’s biodiversity and canal history walks, children’s games and –  it goes without saying – the must have Annual Duck Race. An afternoon not to be missed!

Jack Dempsey (DJackulate)

Jack Dempsey, twice world champion turntablist and multi-instrumentalist DJ, fuses Eastern folk melodies with elements of live looping and turntablism. With his myriad of innovative machines and exciting musical ideas, the performance respectfully values his traditional influences. His DJ set follows the live show into the small wee hours.

The Fegans Sessions

Celebrating the recent release of his debut LP I Am Kurdish, Irish-based Syrian/Kurdish artist Mohammad Syfkhan performs an intimate solo show. An ecstatic mix of Middle Eastern and North African music, it is sure to create an atmosphere of joy, love and happiness.

Fizzy Orange with support by Banríon

This fast up-and-coming six-piece indie/alternative rock group from Dublin have become a consistent sell out act in Ireland and abroad. With influences ranging from rock & roll to rocksteady, Fizzy Orange are bringing Dublin City Soul with them wherever they go. Supported by Dublin indie trailblazers Banríon, this will be a night to remember!
