The Ficino Ensemble is a group formed in 2012 by Eoin Quinlan, Nathan Sherman and Karl Sweeney, .The concept behind the ensemble was born both from a mutual appreciation of chamber music and a desire to perform the rarely played and often overlooked repertoire of the string trio, which forms the core of the group.
Il Ficino will perform Ernst von Dohnanyi's Serenade for String Trio, written in 1904, it is rich and beautiful, showing off the many colours of the violin, viola and cello. Its melodies are dramatic, and is full of masterful contrapuntal writing and dynamic rhythms.

Dr.Ed started out DJing Jungle nights in the 90s, playing Ragga Jungle with lots of Amen breaks. Since then his musical path has widened and he keeps digging in the crates for vinyl dancefloor killers. He plays everything from Bass, Dancehall and Jungle (Kaboogie/Alphabet Set) to 50s soul and R&B (Gramophone Disco), but his main love is Afrobeat. In 2012 he set up Saudade Afrobeats sound system with Sau Paulo born DJ Pepe Paulo, with a mission to bring African and Latin beats to Dublin dancefloors, playing a mix of heavy Afrobeat, Afrofunk, Brazillian and Colombian beats.https://soundcloud.com/edzillion/tracks
